The Duchess of Cambridge is trying out her hand at farm life.
Today, Duchess Kate joined her husband, Prince William, for a royal engagement in County Durham, where the two visited Manor Farm, a fifth-generation family-owned farm. For the visit, Kate sported her best casual attire including dark-wash denim, a printed knit sweater by Brora, an olive-green bomber jacket, and her go-to brown knee-high leather boots by Penelope Chilvers. William was also dressed down for the occasion, wearing jeans and a puffer jacket.

Manor Farm was one of a select number of organizations that received donations from the Cambridges' Royal Wedding Charitable Gift Fund in 2011. Both the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were given a tour of the estate and were introduced to the cattle, calves, and lambs that call the farm home. The couple also catted with owners Clare Wise and Stewart Chapman, who expressed the importance of protecting the health and welfare of their livestock and how they practice sustainability. William and Kate even took the time to pet and meet with one of the adorable lambs.

The Cambridges then partook in a discussion with local famers, supported by the National Farmers Union, about their experiences navigating their work amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The farmers spoke openly about their mental health, the challenges of balancing virtual school and farm work, and their united effort to help improve the industry's environmental impact and the United Kingdom's commitment to "net zero" carbon emissions.
