Richard Belzer Hulk Hogan video resurfaced again after the ‘Law & Order’ actor passed away last Sunday, February 19, 2023. Special Victims Unit star died at his home in Bozouls in southwest France.

Richard Belzer hosted the ‘Hot Properties’ show in the mid-1980s. In one episode, Mr. T and Hogan were on the program to promote the very first WrestleMania.

In order to prove that pro wrestling was not fake, Hulk put Richard into a front chin lock, and the host passed out and fell to the ground. He would be knocked out briefly, and Hogan helped up later.

However, the incident would result in a lawsuit from Richard Belzer against Hulk Hogan, WWE, Vince McMahon, and Mr. T. As per The Hollywood Reporter, in 1990, Belzer and the company would reportedly settle for $400,000, later which he would use for a house in France. He also named the place Chez Hogan.

Richard Belzer died at 78

The beloved comedian started his journey as an edgy stand-up performer before finding more fame as the cynical but stalwart detective John Munch on ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit’ and ‘Homicide: Life on The Street,’ died at the age of 78.

Richard Belzer made his film debut in ‘The Groove Tube’ in 1974. He made his first appearance on the first episode of ‘Homicide’ in 1993 and his last appearance in ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit’ in 2016.

Besides those two NBC dramas, he also played the detective on eight series, and his hold on the character lasted longer than James Arness’s on ‘Gunsmoke’ and Kelsey Grammers on Cheers and Frasier.

No doubt one of the most memorable cops in television history, John Munch, is based on a real-life Baltimore detective.

He was a knowledgeable, doggedly diligent investigator who believed in conspiracy theories, disturbed the system, and pursued justice with a jaded eye.

The slim and intelligent actor Richard Belzer portrayed John Munch on all sevens seasons of the NBC series.

At the time of its end in 1999, the pencil-thin actor was not quite ready to say goodbye to the role. He appeared as Munch on NBC’s series from 1996-1999 and thought he might be a perfect fit on that show.

Richard Belzer x-rated last words

Bill Scheft, a writer is a longtime close friend of the Special Victims Unit actor, confirmed the news of his death on Sunday.

Scheft said, “He had lots of health issues, and his last words were, ‘F*ck you, motherf*cker.”

Belzer cause of death has not been disclosed yet. He started his struggling career as a stand-up comedian and gradually moved to the iconic role of detective “John Munch” in ‘Homicide: Life on the Street.’

Laraine Newman, the Saturday Night Live cast member, tweeted, “I’m so sad to hear of Richard Belzer’s passing. I loved this guy so much. He was one of my first friends when I got to New York to do SNL.”

I'm so sad to hear of Richard Belzer's passing. I loved this guy so much. He was one of my first friends when I got to New York to do SNL. We used to go out to dinner every week at Sheepshead Bay for lobster. One of the funniest people ever. A master at crowd work. RIP dearest. pic.twitter.com/u23co0JPA2
